Cirque du Soleil (French: Cirque du Soleil  is a Canadian entertainment company founded in 1984 in Quebec by street performer Giraliberte. It currently employs 15,000 people worldwide, including over 1,300 artists, some of whom are former professional athletes who have been converted.
