Nanjing Underwater World

Nanjing Underwater World is a Nanjing aquarium located near the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Underwater World is located on the south side of Purple Mountain, next to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. Andover Capital Group and the Administration Bureau of Dr. Sun Yat-Mausoleum Sen's collaborated on the aquarium.

Underwater World is a collaboration between Andover Capital Group and the government of Nanjing. It opened in 1996 and is managed by the manager of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. The aquarium is four floors tall and occupies 16,000 square metres (170,000 square feet) of the 34,000 square metres (8.4-acre). The 1,500 square metre Dolphinarium holds 1000 people (16,000 sq ft). The entire amount invested was around 200,000,000 yuan. The Aquarium and the Dolphinarium were united into one integrated attraction in 2004.

Underwater The Polar Region

Polar Region, which is supported by the Polar Exploration Office of the China Marine Bureau, exhibits creatures from the polar regions. Visitors may experience the ecology and landscape of the world's coldest regions. Photographs from Chinese missions to the Polar Regions are also on display. 

Science Education Building

The Science Education Hall shows items manufactured using cutting-edge technology, as well as some valuable sea animal specimens. It is divided of five display sections:

Zone of Shell and Fossil

The Shell and Fossil Zone contains marine shells and fossils, including the famous dinosaur egg fossil from 130,000,000 years ago.

Zone of Computer Interactivity

The Computer Interactive Zone employs multimedia to educate visitors about the mysteries of the undersea environment. Park for Giant Insects

Giant Insect Park included displays from the same-named huge park in the United States. To replicate the everyday activity of certain enormous insects in the forest, modern computer technology was used.

Square of Underwater Recreation

The Underwater Leisure Square has a food centre as well as the Ocean Souvenir Supermarket.

• Nanjing Underwater World suggests that travellers purchase tickets online using their true names. Tickets may be purchased through Nanjing Underwater World's official WeChat account, major officially recognised Internet ticketing sites, and ticket windows at Nanjing Underwater World.
• Adults / Children over 1.5 meters : 180 yuan / person
  1.2 meters-1.5 meters children : 120 yuan / person

  Children under 1.2 meters : free (must be accompanied by parents)
